Gathering in front of Mary's Grotto.

Looking down from the Upper Basilica, pilrims gather in front of Mary's Grotto. Here Our Blessed Mother appeared to a young Bernadette. Malades, companions, and the faithful pray the rosary, attend Mass, many celebrated throughout the day, and bring their prayers to a loving mother. Just beside the Grotto, the Lourdes' baths where so many have sought out it's miraculous healing, await those on their journeys. Later this evening, sitting outside with other members of the Order of Malta, we hear the distant voices singing Immaculate Mary. Ave, Ave, Ave Maria. Ave, Ave Maria. In this place Mary is ever present.
