The Abbey at San Savin

This Benedictine Abbey located in the foothills of the Pyrenees above Lourdes was built in 12th Century. It house the oldest working organ in France and now serves as the parish church. During the Middle Ages, pilgrims traveling from Paris, would also a stop here along the way in route to Santiago de Compostela, know as the Camino de Santiago....The Way of St James.
