We began in procession accross the river from the Grotto, the Knights and Dames of the Order and the clergy, for Benediction and Eucharistic Adoration. The Malades, their companions and the volunteers remained in the plaza in front of the Rosary Basilica back on the other side of the river. We then processed with the Blessed Sacrament, across one of the several bridges, back to where the Malades were, to an altar that had been placed on the front steps of the Rosary Basilica. There adoraton continued, as the Blessed Sacrament was carried through an assembly likely 20,000 strong. What a site from the altar where I stood. Note that in the distance, the statue of Mary looks down upon the crowd, and on Her Son.
