Mass and Annointing of the Sick at St Bernadette Church

Friday afternoon we gathered for Mass and the Annointing of the Sick. The central focus of our pilgrimage has been caring for the sick. Allowing our Malades to be present to Mary in this sacred shrine. Together, as we are servants to one another, we are witnesses to Mary working in our hearts, and opening them wide, making room there for our Blessed Mother and her Son. But again, as we do every day here in Lourdes, we turn to the Sacrament of the Eucharist, from which we feed and draw our strength. There can there be no richer community prayer, than together fullfilling Jesus' command to "do this in memory of me" and praying together as priests of His church lay hands upon, and annoint, the sick, calling upon the grace of God to strengthen them in their struggles. On this we ended our day.
