Adrianna Bernadette Colorado is Baptized

Today at about noon I ws given the honor of baptizing Adrianna Colorado at the Baptismal font where St Bernadette ws baptized on January 9, 1844. While Hallie and Camilo gave there daughter the wonderful gift of becomign part of the community of the church of Jesus Christ, they gave me a gift that I will always cherish. In this parish church in Lourdes, where just yesterday we celebrated mass, we gathered, pilgrims to Lourdes, to cap with an exclamation point of life, this amazing journery with Alesanndra, her family and the entire Order of Malta and their malades. Around the font were a new spiritual family who have walked in candlelight procession, lived the stations of the cross, washed and had their feet washed, shared in the Holy Eucharist, laughed, cried, and became stronger in faith together. Lourdes is often about those who struggle with illness but today it was a reminder that Lourdes is always about life. Life today, life tomorrow and life in Christ. Hallie and Camilo selected Bernadette as the baptismal name. Ave Maria.
