This Flame Continues Our Prayer

Late on Sunday evening, we went to the Grotto of our Lady for a brief visit. Adjacent to the Grotto are candles, lit with prayer intentions from those seeking Mary's and her Son's presence in their lives to be felt more strongly, for their faith to deepen, in thanks, for hope. Alessandra, Adrianna, Hallie, and Camilo, lit a candle to symbolize the many prayers they have brought and accumulated on this pilgrimage. Their prayers of thanks to the St Raymond Community, their love for their 4 daughters, and their trust in God burn brighly here. Behind the many stalls filled with candles is the inscription, "This Flame Continues My Prayer". While those words are written in many languages, the prayer continues in our hearts, on our legs as they carry us to serve, and, with our arms as we hold those to whom we are sent to serve.
