Back in Lourdes

We arrived Lourdes on Monday, a couple days in advance of the Malades, Knights, Dames and Volunteers. After dinner we walked into The Sanctuary to be greeted with that evening's rosary procession. This picture in front of the Rosary Basilica was accompanied by the sounds of the The Hail Mary in many languages, and voices singing Ave Maria. At the chorus of Ave, Ave...the candles were extended heavenward as to lift thousands of prayers to God. We walked in silence starting our process of transitioning from our individual busy worlds into the presence of Mary and Her Son. Slow down, slow down, open up, and pray.
