The First of Many Candles to Light

In The Sanctuary tonight we walked aside the rosary procession, visited the Grotto of Our Lady where she appeared to Bernadette and lit three candles for special prayer intentions to commence this pilgrimage. One for a dear friend John Kates, KM who died on this day last year, one for the deceased mother of our Archbishop Salvatore Cordielone and one for the mother of our good friend Fr Rob Sholla, SJ. We will light many more prayer candles before this pilgrimage ends.
