The Baths at Lourdes

Pictured here those in wait to enter the baths. Day in, day out, from around the world, they come to touch the waters that have flowed since young Bernadette stood in the presence of the Beautiful Lady. Little hope in her life then, but through her conversation with Mary, and faith, she would offer hope to millions. The upper left, people wait on benches for their time in the baths. The upper right, the volunteer attendants in the baths gather to pray at the change in shifts. They pray to simply be welcoming, faithful and warm for each pilgrim as they enter the chilly waters. Below, the bath in pilgrims will immerse themselves. No one comes to Lourdes and leaves unchanged. Whether it be physical, emotional or spiritual, Mary and her Son are at work
