The Washing of the Feet

The last thing we did at St Joseph Chapel was to wash the feet of each of the malades. This is one of the most emotional and touching moments of the pilgrimage. Changing perspectives and roles and a continuing opening of all hearts present. Sometimes it is harder to allow someone to serve you when you have always been in service to others. To allow someone to serve you is also to allow them to fulfill their calling and ministry. There are blessings and graces in each role.
