Stations & Benediction at the 12th Century Abby in San Savin

Nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains, San Savin is a small village with a long history. The centerpiece of the town is a 12 century Abby which served as the venue of our praying the Stations of the Cross and Benediction. The Abby has the oldest functioning organ in France. One of our Malades, pictured below provided a concert on this ancient instrument. This afternoon was planned to be prayerful and relaxing as we walked about town taking in the magnificent mountains. Pictured below, the visual, including the small 12 century fort that served to guard against enimies passing in the valley below.
