With this flame, my prayer continues. I light my first candle and say a brief prayer, and this year the candles have been moved across the river so you are looking back at the Grotto form the hundreds of prayers aflame. I know I pray for my first grandson Jack and his cousin on the way. This year is year of special thanksgiving. It is also a year of continued remembrance of friends who have completed their pilgrimage on earth..those who I loved and will be with me in special ways in the liturgies I participate in during this pilgrimage, Mike whose funeral I will celebrate when I return. I am keeping in my prayers the many friends who I carry here to Lourdes on this pilgrimage but remain at home.....especially Tom V, Mike M, Art P. Karrie G, Archbishop Niederauer, In prayer we talk with God but more importantly we listen to God. I pray for those God has entrusted to me, I pray to listen better. I pray for Magis in all that I do.
