An Empty Pius X Basilica

After the mass is over, everyone has left, after returning to the sacristy to take off vestments and return to Malta work uniform, I stop to look over the empty church. Almost eerie. A reminder that The Church is alive, the people of God, not the walls, stained glass, steeple, roof, no matter how basic, no matter how ornate.
