Mass at Bernadette's Parish Church

The parish church for Bernadette growing up in Lourdes was the Church of the Sacred Heart. The one you see pictured here was built in the late 1800's, with the original church having been destroyed by fire. One of the few items from the original church is the baptismal font in which I performed a baptism two years earlier. Bishop Michael Barber of Oakland was the principal celebrant.
